Parking was difficult and spots were far and few between. The hour-long lines just to get into pay to the parking lot should have given us the indication of how the rest of the trip was going to be. It was during the week between Christmas and New Year’s, so this is NOT the time to go unless you want to not see things and wait in lines.

A little disappointed in the visit compared to other space centers we have toured. We plan to return if we are in the Houston area again.

We attended for about 4-5 hours in total but were not able, in that time, to view all of the exhibits and take all of the experiences. (the time at which the Center opens) on a Tuesday and just ask questions of the staff, who helped provide guidance regarding the tours.

We found it somewhat hard to figure out how to access the tram tours but in the end had no problems by deciding to attend at 10:00 a.m. At the Space Center the scale of NASA spacecraft can be gained by viewing a Saturn V rocket and entering both a shuttle replica and a real shuttle carrier aircraft.

It was less expensive to buy the membership, and use it twice for parking and twice for entry into the Center. In the circumstance, because we were making two visits, it made sense to purchase a membership. We were in Nassau Bay for a 24-hour period and visited Space Center Houston at the end of the day on a Monday and then on Tuesday morning. We understand that the actual quote was "okay, Houston, we've had a problem here" but in any event, we enjoyed taking the tram tour from Space Center Houston to the Johnson Space Center to see the historic Mission Control room for the Gemini and Apollo missions.
